Welcome to TechPayout. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TechPayout website (techpayout.com) and our electronics buyback services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. About Our Service

TechPayout, LLC provides an electronics buyback service. We purchase used smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, headphones, gaming consoles, and other consumer electronics from individuals. We are not a retail store – we buy devices from you and pay you for them.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services
  • You must have a valid U.S. physical mailing address (P.O. boxes may not be accepted for shipping purposes)
  • You must be the legal owner of any device you sell to us, or have written authorization from the owner

3. How It Works

  1. Get a Quote: Select your device and describe its condition to receive an instant quote
  2. Ship Your Device: We provide a prepaid shipping label. Pack your device securely and ship it to us at no cost to you
  3. Get Paid: Once we receive and inspect your device, we issue payment via check or PayPal

4. Device Quotes and Pricing

  • Quotes are based on the device information and condition you provide at the time of submission
  • Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date issued
  • If upon inspection the device condition differs from what was described, we will provide a revised quote
  • You may accept or reject any revised quote. If you reject it, we will return your device to you free of charge within 14 days
  • TechPayout reserves the right to decline any device at our discretion

5. Device Condition and Data

  • It is your responsibility to remove all personal data, accounts, passwords, and content from your device before shipping it to us
  • Disable any device locks, Find My iPhone/Android, Google FRP, or similar security features before shipping
  • TechPayout is not responsible for any data remaining on devices sent to us
  • Once payment is issued and accepted, the device becomes the property of TechPayout, LLC

6. Payments

  • Payment is issued after device inspection and acceptance of the quote
  • Payment methods include check (mailed to your address) or PayPal (sent to your PayPal email)
  • TechPayout does not collect credit card or bank account information from sellers
  • PayPal transaction fees, if any, are the responsibility of the seller – the quoted price does not include potential PayPal charges
  • Mailing your device to us after accepting a quote constitutes a binding agreement to sell

7. Legal Ownership and Indemnification

By selling a device to TechPayout, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the legal owner of the device or have written authorization from the owner to sell it
  • The device is not stolen, lost, or subject to any liens, claims, or encumbrances
  • The device is not under any carrier financing agreement or lease that has not been fully satisfied

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TechPayout, LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, suits, investigations, judgments, liabilities, obligations, and damages relating to or arising out of the title to, ownership of, or any dispute regarding any item sold to us.

8. Account Registration

  • You may be required to create an account to use certain features of our service
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Each account registration is for a single individual unless otherwise specified
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the TechPayout website – including text, graphics, logos, images, and software – is the property of TechPayout, LLC or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. No materials from this site may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed without our prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechPayout, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid to you by TechPayout in the transaction giving rise to the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Union County, New Jersey.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective 30 days after posting to this page unless otherwise stated. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with any changes, you may request account deletion by contacting us at info@techpayout.com.
