What is TechPayout?
TechPayout is a trusted electronics buyback service where you can turn your used phones, gaming consoles, iPods, laptops, and tablets into cash. We offer free shipping on all transactions and maintain a zero-waste recycling policy.
What models do you accept?
Browse by brand or carrier on our main catalog to find your device and get an instant quote. If your model is not listed, visit our Custom Quote page and we will respond within 24 hours.
Does it cost anything to sell through TechPayout?
No! Shipping is always free at TechPayout. Donation and recycling services are also complimentary.
How much will I receive for my item?
Pricing varies by brand, model, and condition. Visit our catalog for instant quotes. We frequently update prices to remain competitive.
How long are quotes valid?
Quotes are valid for 30 days. After 30 days, TechPayout reserves the right to re-quote items. If you decline the re-quote, we will return your items free of charge.
Selling phones in bulk?
For businesses or resellers with 10 or more devices, please contact us first. Bulk pricing for certain devices may differ from website prices. See our Corporate Buyback program for details.
Shipping Questions
What shipping method will I use?
After checkout, you will receive a prepaid UPS Ground label via email. Print the label, pack your items, and drop them off at any UPS location. We pay all shipping costs!
How many items can I ship?
You can ship as many items as needed. Simply add quantities and various models to your quote. For bulk orders of 10 or more items, please contact our B2B Sales group first.
Can I ship from outside the US?
At this time, TechPayout only accepts items from within the United States. Prepaid shipping labels are only valid for U.S. addresses.
Receiving & Inspection
What happens when you receive my item?
Our inspection team verifies that the condition, make, and model match your original quote. Items are then resold, recycled, or donated based on their condition.
What are the condition categories?
- Brand New in Box: Never used, original box and accessories, manufacturer sealed
- Excellent Condition: Near perfect with minimal wear, all functions working
- Good Condition: Light signs of use, small scratches acceptable, all functions working
- Damaged Condition: Physically or functionally broken
What is a requote?
If your items do not match the quoted condition, you will receive a revised offer via email explaining the inspection results. You can accept or decline. If you decline, we will ship your items back at no charge. If you do not respond within 7 days, the revised offer becomes binding.
What if my ESN is invalid?
An invalid ESN means the phone is tied to a lost/stolen report, has a pending balance, or is still on an active account. TechPayout reserves the right to cancel the transaction and will return items free of charge or provide a revised quote. Learn more on our ESN guide.

Payment Questions
How long until I get paid?
PayPal: Normal processing time is 1-3 business days after equipment inspection and acceptance. Note: PayPal fees may apply.
Check: Checks are issued 1-2 business days after finalization, then 5-7 business days for USPS First Class Mail delivery. Lost checks can be reissued or sent via express mail with tracking.
How do I use a promo code?
Enter your coupon code during checkout. If the code is not entered at the time of purchase, the coupon cannot be honored after the fact.
Recycling
What items does TechPayout recycle?
TechPayout currently recycles cell phones, tablets, and Apple laptops. We plan to expand our recycling program in the future.
How do I recycle my item?

Security & Data
What about my personal data?
All devices are factory reset upon acceptance. All data is always erased! For instructions on how to erase your device before sending it, visit our device reset guide.
