How to Factory Reset Your Samsung Phone

Follow these steps to erase all data from your Samsung device before selling it to TechPayout.

Factory Reset Steps

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap General Management (or scroll to “Privacy” on older models)
  3. Tap Reset
  4. Select Factory Data Reset
  5. Review the information and tap Reset
  6. Enter your PIN or password if prompted
  7. Tap Delete All to confirm

Before You Reset

  • Back up your data — Save photos, contacts, and files to Samsung Cloud or Google Drive
  • Sign out of your Google account — This disables Factory Reset Protection (FRP)
  • Deactivate your phone from your carrier
  • Remove any passcodes or locks
